Does the truth mean so little to these people?

What an amazing reflection on Western culture. We actively ignore the vilest, most awful examples of depravity in Israel’s enemies while vilifying and calling awful, EVERYTHING about Israeli society.

If we didn’t accept this stuff as fact, they wouldn’t be able to make any money.

Hmmmm….

Which might account for the reason why so many of these media outlets are losing money.

Maybe there’s hope for us, after all.

Terrifying Video Shows Young Saudi Arabian Man Auctioned Off as ‘Sacred Sacrifice’

Picture this: A festive, affluent gathering of rich men, many dressed in flowing white robes, in a country dominated by religious fervor. In their midst stands a father, whose son stands next to him, impassive in a black uniform as the father declares that the son shall be a “sacred sacrifice” just like his brothers. A chatty auctioneer then begins to open bidding for the young man’s life, all while people cheerfully shout out bids, and the father looks on in pride.

If you thought this scene took place in some sort of horrific, pre-medieval time, long before the advent of running water, video cameras or the internet, then we’re sorry to report that you were completely mistaken. Not only is this scene not from an ancient and rightly defunct civilization, but it actually took place this year, in the back yard of a country that the United States still considers an ally. Specifically, it took place early this year in Saudi Arabia, and was caught on-camera in a Youtube video that is going viral due to the horrific nature of what is depicted.

The “auction” in question bears very little context, but a few disturbing details should suffice to explain it. We know that the young man being offered up for auction is quite literally being offered up as a suicide bomber – a “martyr” or “sacrifice” for Islam. As to why he’s being auctioned off, this event is sort of a twisted charity auction to compensate the father for his loss. That’s right – this man is literally selling his son’s life in order to get money to live off of.

For those of you who don’t want to watch through the video, we’ll spoil the ending. The final bid is the Saudi equivalent of roughly $400,000 – far less than the settlement numbers on most wrongful death lawsuits in the United States. Apparently, devaluing human life means diminishing market returns for the sort of monsters who want to sell their own children into suicide.

But, all that’s changed.

Weapons and terrorists have entered the Sinai, and the Egyptians are powerless to do anything about it. Worse, the rise of an Islamist government in Cairo may turn the almost open border between Israel and Egypt into a nightmare.

When I left Israel in 2006, bombings happened on a monthly basis and the rising death toll was a constant source of horrific tension. When I returned in 2010 for nine months, not one bomb exploded anywhere and there was a most welcome sense of peace. All of that because of the wall around Judea and Samaria (aka, The West Bank).

Are we going to see a return of bombings in Israel?

I hope not.

But, I’ll be there in a couple months to see for myself.

Six army battalions called up under emergency orders to meet growing threat on Egypt, Syria borders

Knesset approves IDF request to call up a further 16 battalions if needed

The IDF has issued emergency call up orders to six reserve battalions in light of new dangers on the Egyptian and Syrian borders. And the Knesset has given the IDF permission to summon a further 16 reserve battalions if necessary, Israeli media reported on Wednesday.

An IDF spokesperson said intelligence assessments called for the deployment of more soldiers. An army statement highlighted last August’s infiltration from the Sinai north of Eilat in which eight Israelis were killed, and said the subsequent division of that area into two distinct military zones necessitated additional manpower.

According to 2008?s Reserve Duty Law, combat soldiers can be called for active reserve duty once every three years, and for short training sessions during the other two. Rising tensions between Israel and Egypt and the ongoing unrest in Syria caused the army to ask the Knesset for special permission to call up more soldiers, more often.

The Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee approved the request recently, enabling the IDF to summon up to 22 battalions for active duty for the second time in three years. Already, the army has called up six of them.

“This signifies that the IDF regards the Egyptian and Syrian borders as the potential source of a greater threat than in the past,” the former deputy chief of staff, Dan Harel, said on Wednesday night.

It’s complete and utter crap.

The video that you are about to watch describes how the Taliban create young suicide bombers in Pakistan. But, this could have been a documentary describing Hamas, Islamic Jihad, or many of the other fanatic Islamist groups preying upon young Palestinians.

And yes, that is exactly what they do. They prey upon the young minds of Palestinian youth.

It is the vilest form of child abuse, and it is practiced throughout the West Bank and the Gaza Strip – as well as the many places where you can find fundamentalist Islam.

If you care about the Palestinians, then you need to free them – and their children – from this terrible cult of death.

But even then, it still costs money.

Here we have a more obscene version. Here we have terrorism on a salary.

All that you have to do is murder an Israeli. You get sent to jail where you’ll often experience better living conditions than you had outside of jail, and your family will collect a salary much greater than you could get anywhere else.

In light of this astounding fact, I don’t understand why more Palestinians are not taking up this generous offer. Could it be that there are Palestinians out there who also think that this is obscene?

Of course, you couldn’t pay me enough to spend the rest of my life in jail. But, then again, if it feeds your wife and children… you’d do almost anything, right?

I think that it’s time to turn off the money, don’t you?

In ‘Palestine,’ terror pays

There is sadly no shortage of Palestinian Arabs with an ingrained nationalistic motivation to harm and kill Israeli Jews. But for many others, there is another compelling reason to engage in terrorism: a steady salary.

An Israeli court this week charged two Gaza men with terrorist activity after they admitted to plotting to kill Israeli soldiers so they could collect a healthy Palestinian Authority salary while sitting in Israeli jails.

The economy is not healthy anywhere in the world. But with Hamas’ mismanagement of Gaza (did anyone expect more from a recognized terror group?) and Israel’s need to impose a security blockade, local unemployment rates are through the roof.

Salam Alsufi and Ra’ami Tayima knew that by joining Hamas they would get into the kind of trouble that would land them up in an Israeli jail. And that’s just what they wanted, since the Palestinian Authority pays jailed Palestinian terrorists between 3,200 and 10,000 shekels (about $865-$2,700) per month, far more than Palestinian civil servants earn. Additionally, the families of jailed Palestinian terrorists receive tax breaks and free education.

With those kinds of benefits, it is little wonder that Alsufi and Tayima were anxious to get arrested. In fact, media reports suggested the two men became impatient with the orders given to them by Hamas, which included monitoring Israeli troop movement from a hidden position and killing any Israelis that entered Gaza. Instead of waiting, Alsufi and Tayima were caught cutting their way through the Gaza security fence in order to attack soldiers patrolling on the Israeli side of the border line.

We now have a whole society rallying around and praising this despicable depravity.

God judges a society not just by what they do, but also by what they allow – and even more by what they celebrate. The official voice of the Palestinian people has praised one of the worst examples of inhumanity that I have ever seen, and not one Palestinian voice has been heard to protest this atrocity.

I know that there are Palestinians who are horrified by the murder of the Fogels, and by how their society has responded. They are horrified and sickened.

Unfortunately, they remain silent.

This is a mistake.

If good and just Palestinians remain silent while their leadership claims to speak for them, then they too will bear the guilt of their nation and suffer the consequences.

There is a Judge, and He is not indifferent to the affairs of mankind.

On PA TV: Glorification of Fogel family murderers

“My greetings to dear Hakim, the apple of my eye, who carried out the operation in Itamar, sentenced to 5 life sentences”

Aunt of Hakim Awad: “Hakim Awad, the hero, the legend”

PA TV host: “We [PA TV] also convey our greetings to them”

Twice last week, official Palestinian Authority TV broadcast greetings to the murderers of the Fogel family from the relatives of the killers and from the PA TV host.

On March 11, 2011, five members of the Fogel family were killed in their home in the Israeli town Itamar by Palestinian terrorists from the Awad family. Hakim Awad led the attack, killing the parents Ehud and Ruth and three of their children, aged 11 years, 4 years, and 2 months.

The weekly PA TV program For You dedicated to Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons let the mother and aunt of one of the murderers praise the terrorists as “heroes.” After the mother of the murderer Hakim Awad explained how she is prevented from visiting her son for security reasons, the PA TV host said: “Go ahead, sister, we can convey your voice.”

On the phone, Hakim Awad’s mother “blesses” her “dear son,” and despite the fact that participants in this TV program normally do not mention the terror attacks for which their relatives are serving time, the mother mentions that her son is the one who “carried out the operation in Itamar and sentenced to 5 life sentences,” referring to her son’s brutal killings in the town Itamar.

Hakim Awad’s aunt also participated in the program and referred to the terrorists involved in the killings as “heroes,” calling Hakim Awad “the hero, the legend.” This prompted the PA TV host to add: “We, for our part, also convey our greetings to them.”

It was Hakim Awad who killed Ehud and Ruth Fogel and their young children with a knife. The other Awad family members praised on the program as “heroes” were either accessories to the murders or helped destroy evidence.

Although this was a phone conversation, the editors of the PA TV program and its host did know in advance that the callers were relatives of the Fogel murderers. The host introduced them before the conversation took place and a text with the names of the callers appeared at the bottom of the screen: “Prisoner Hakim Awad’s family / Awarta – Nablus.”

The program was broadcast on official PA TV on January 19 and 21.
