I’m sorry. A man that cannot stay true to one of the most important commitments in a man’s life, faithfulness to his wife, cannot be trusted to stay true to a lesser commitment, like… say… presidency of the United States of America.
Sorry, but Newt Gingrich cheated on his first wife.
He cheated on his second wife.
And, we want to elect him for president?
Newt didn’t even have the good grace to be properly ashamed.
So, sorry. No Newt for me.

I’m not sure what else to call it. I guess that I could call chapters 36-39 of Ezekiel as Ezekiel 36-39, just like any other normal human being. And, maybe I would, if I was a normal human being.
But, these four chapters in Ezekiel are integral to each other. They fit together and belong together. They are a group of four, and a group of four is a tetrad. I guess that I could call it a quartet, but then everyone will be expecting a song.
So, for the moment, it’s a tetrad.
I’m not sure what else to call it. I guess that I could call chapters 36-39 of Ezekiel as Ezekiel 36-39, just like any other normal human being. And, maybe I would, if I was a normal human being.

Good.
We’re off to the second part in a literally earth-shaking quadrad of chapters in Ezekiel. We did 36 yesterday. We’re doing 37 today, and 38 and 39 are for Monday and Tuesday.
Didya’ notice how Tuesday is spelled T-u-e-s-d-a-y, instead of T-e-u-s-d-a-y, or T-e-w-s-d-a-y?
I wonder why.
I think that I’m on too much Methylprednisolone.
Where were we? Oh, right.
This chapter is ominous sounding, and most people get it wrong. Let’s see if we can see a way to get it right.

If you are like me, you have a version of the One Year Bible and are reading it every day.
If you ARE NOT reading the One Year Bible (or something like it) every day… if you are a Christian… or even Jewish… There’s something wrong. This world has become a crazy, evil place, and your soul doesn’t have a hope unless you are getting regular booster shots of moral fiber. This world will roll you under without maximum strength help – help that will really only reach you through the bible.

The reporters gathered with their cameras, microphones and note pads. Pencils poised, fingers ready they waited breathlessly for them moment when Israel would demonstrate yet again how evil and despicable it really was.
And…
Nothing happened.
Palestinians TRIED to show how they were discriminated against. The reporters TRIED to show how Palestinians are discriminated against. They all gave it their best shot, and…
Ooops.
(Don’t you hate it when that happens?)
For 15 years, I’ve ridden buses all over Israel, and in and out of the West Bank. I have never seen a Palestinian denied entry, or denied a place to sit. I’ve never seen a Palestinian given any less respect than an Israeli.
