I’ve heard a lot of good things about Rick Perry.

I’ve seen Rick Perry make some excellent decisions.

He believes in God and seems to back up that belief with deeds.

Well, yesterday he stood up and made himself the frontrunner, in my eyes, by making the following speech:

Gov. Rick Perry: Obama’s Middle East Policy Is Naive, Arrogant, Misguided and Dangerous

Thank you. Let me begin by thanking Dr. Solomon Frager and Aron Hirtz for helping us organize this press conference today.

Pray for Jerusalem

It says in Psalm 122:

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: They shall prosper that love thee.

7 Peace be within thy walls, And prosperity within thy palaces.

8 For my brethren and companions’ sakes, I will now say, Peace be within thee.

9 For the sake of the house of Jehovah our God I will seek thy good.

Israel, and specifically Jerusalem, are under direct attack. It is said that Israel is threatened now more than any time since 1948. There are so many direct threats against this tiny country that I’m not sure that this article could even list them, let alone describe them.

Three Questions of Islam

It amazes me that people still question Israel’s right to exist.

Now, most don’t realize that they are questioning Israel’s right to exist. They’re just parroting comments picked up by the New York Times, Huffington Post, etc.

“But”, they say, “we’re not questioning Israel’s right to exist. We’re just questioning her methods.”

Oh, you mean her right to defend herself?

“Well, not in the WAY she defends herself.”

Well, after much backing and forthing argument, it really always comes down to the right of self-defense, which is really the right to exist.

Reality

Helping people see what is real is a long, exhausting (and frustrating) process. Reality is such a harsh environment to live in, most of us would rather spend time with the alternative. I mean, who wouldn’t want to live a place where the sky is always blue and everyone is just so… nice.

However, spending too much time in a fantasy world can kill you. Living lives of fantasy killed the US economy. Clinging to the fantasy that Hitler wasn’t such a bad guy killed six million Jews. The fantasy of a world without God killed even more via communism.

Jerusalem Day – Muslim Style

There is something about Jerusalem. It has this incredible power that wraps its arms around you and whispers in your heart that this is home. By comparison, everywhere else in the world is dim and gray.

Even other places in Israel do not shine like this. I once tried to move from Jerusalem to a lovely little apartment in Tel Aviv, five minutes walk from the sea – and found, to my chagrin, that I just couldn’t do it. I don’t know why, but when I’m in Israel, the only place for me is Jerusalem. Unfortunately, living in Jerusalem is expensive, so it’s hard to live there as much as I would like.
