How can a story of insane corruption compare to Israeli Terrorism Against Innocent Palestinians?

The fact that Palestinian diplomats openly talk about how they say one thing in Arabic, and say something completely, outrageously different in English… (And, how it’s a good thing) …How they speak atrocious lies to the diplomatic community while accusing the Americans and Europeans of lying… Those facts can mean nothing in the face of Israeli Terrorism Against Innocent Palestinians.

Yes, the Palestinians are engaged in the vilest of outrageous hypocrisies, but I say that this charge is completely eclipsed by Israeli Terrorism Against Innocent Palestinians!

In fact, I was even going to show you this video:

I was going to show that video to you, but now I can’t.

I was going to gleefully point out the incredibly brazen, contemptible and two-faced hypocrisy of the Palestinian thugs running the Palestinian Authority. But, I can say nothing about any of that. Nothing. Because I have discovered terrible evidence of Israeli Terrorism Against Innocent Palestinians.

Please, if there are little children in the room, you must ask them to leave because I need to show you this video of Israeli Terrorism Against Innocent Palestinians.

I was so shocked by the video myself that I could only get as far as the little kid on the beach sitting in the puddle of water. (Little kids sitting in puddles of water are always a bad sign.)

Anyway, I continue to be chilled, more and more by the parallels between the run-up to World War II and the situation that we experience, right now. Then, as now, we have a despotic ruler terrorizing his own citizens and threatening to exterminate the Jews. Then, as now, we have nations around the world attempting to placate aggression by throwing innocent countries to this wolf. Then, as now, we have a well-developed PR machine allied to the despotic regime attempting to neutralize any hint of the truth coming to light. Then, as now, we are in peril of our lives, and we’re not paying attention.

Barry Rubin writes an illuminating article titled “Letter from Prague: What The Betrayal of Czechoslovakia in 1938 Can Teach Us About The World and Israel Today“. In the article, Barry makes a chilling comparison between Czechoslovakia and Israel, a comparison that is chilling precisely because it fits all too well.

 Visiting the Czech Republic prompts thoughts of the 1938 Munich agreement. Analogies with Nazism and the 1930s are overused today, made even more tasteless and cliché-ridden by the fact that many of those using them know very little about the situation then and now.

 Beyond the simple narrative usually offered, a more detailed analysis shows a number of points that fit both situations better than people realize. That’s true despite the very important differences between the two cases.

 After all, this pattern will not be repeated today. Western countries genuinely don’t want to sell Israel out, the balance of forces favors Israel and the West, they aren’t really afraid of direct war, the “other side” is badly divided, and Israel is much stronger than Czechoslovakia and is unwilling to sacrifice itself. Still there are lessons to be learned.

 Let’s look at the 1938 crisis and its relationship with today from a different standpoint.

Last Summer, my wife and I were helping in the cleanup effort one Friday morning at church, when we ran into a couple from California. They were in Jerusalem for a few weeks, hanging out, and they had come to help get the Jerusalem Assembly meeting room ready for services on Saturday morning.

As you would expect, we talked about this and that and (and the other thing) but spent most of our time sharing our thoughts on Israel. Then, he mentioned that he knew Walid Shoebat.

It was like a bomb had gone off in our conversation.

“You know Walid Shoebat?” I exclaimed.

He looked at me and said, “Yeah, he was in the class I teach every Sunday morning before church.”

There was no way a guy like me could carry on sweeping under conditions like that, so I stopped what I was doing and concentrated on what this guy from California was telling me.

Now, I want to stop here and let you know that I have been very cynical about some of the people who claim to be Palestinian Christians. Several of them have not lived up to their reputations, and I had been wondering if Walid Shoebat existed in that category.

The good news is that he’s the real deal. He is truly a sincere, good-hearted Christian who works tirelessly to help people understand Islamic extremism and the threat it represents to America.

That’s why CNN’s slander of this good man is so galling. Here’s a video that details the errors, distortions and just plain sloppy journalism of CNN:

It is frustrating to see such a good man defamed by such yellow journalism.

Walid Shoebat and those like him deserve love and respect from all of us. I am deeply ashamed at what CNN has done to this man.

Oh, and the couple from California? Well, they stayed on for a couple more weeks, and we got a chance to know them better.

You can really meet good people sweeping a floor in Jerusalem.

From the birthplace of the World Wide Web we have news about global warming. And, you’ll never guess what’s causing it. No, really, it’s going to surprise you. But, I’m not sure that I can really tell you about it.

You see, it’s a little embarrassing. A bunch of physics types got it into their head to see how much a certain… star… yes, that’s it… star… had on the formation of clouds. And, they got this idea ‘cuz everyone knows that stars are the source of zippy particles – these really tiny, tiny things that rush through the air really zippy fast. And, they thought that these zippy particles might play a role in how clouds are formed. (No really. This is interesting.)

Everyone knows that clouds block sunlight. And, since sunlight is the number one cause of heat… more clouds means less sunlight – which means less heat. And, less heat is like… well, there would be less warming… on the globe… globally.

So, less, uh… Global Warming.

There I said it.

More zippy particles could mean less global warming. Fewer zippy particles could mean more global warming.

Here’s the embarrassing part. These scientists found out that zippy particles (cosmic rays) DO play a role in cloud formation. In fact, cosmic rays play such a big role that it puts into question the whole idea of man-made global warming.

That’s not just embarrassing, that’s humiliating.

And that star that I was talking about? The biggest source of cosmic rays hitting earth?

Are you sitting down? This is quite a shocker.

It’s the sun.

That’s right. If the sun isn’t putting out enough cosmic rays, there are fewer clouds in the air. And, if there are fewer clouds, more sunlight reaches the earth. And, anyone who has ever sat in the shade knows that less sunlight means less heat. But, that’s not the interesting part.

No, the interesting part is what the laboratory (CERN) did when they saw the results. This is from the online version of the newspaper Die Welt:

Welt Online: The results of the so-called CLOUD experiment, exploring the formation of clouds, are awaited with great excitement. Could these results still be important for understanding global climate change?
Heuer: This is indeed a matter of understanding better the formation of clouds. In nature there are many parameters at work – including temperature, humidity, impurities and also cosmic radiation. In the experiment, CLOUD investigates the influence of cosmic rays on cloud formation, using radiation [meaning particles] coming from the accelerator. And in an experimental chamber one can study, under controlled conditions, how the formation of droplets depends on the radiation and particulate matter. The results will be published shortly. I have asked the colleagues to present the results clearly, but not to interpret them. That would go immediately into the highly political arena of the climate change debate. One has to make clear that cosmic radiation is only one of many parameters.

The point?

Scientists are being asked to suppress findings because the results go against accepted notions – because they are ‘politically incorrect’.

Amazing.

No, that’s too calm and dignified.

I’m not amazed. I’m jumping up and down, bouncing off the walls upset!

I don’t care one way or the other about the cause of global warming. Really. But, the fact that we are suppressing scientific results? Because we don’t like the answers?

AARRGGGGHHHH!!!!!

Now, for those of us who have a cynical view of political correctness (like yours truly) this really isn’t news. It’s just more of the same.

So, why am I upset, and why am I writing about it here?

On a site that’s about Israel?

This is the same stupidity that has brought us to the disaster that’s afflicting us right now. If the US had completely sided with Israel from the beginning, we wouldn’t have the problem with global terrorism that we do today. If we had completely sided with Israel, from the beginning, the Middle East would not be the mess that it is today. If we had dealt with Iran the way that we should have, there wouldn’t be an Islamic regime there, and there would be no fear of nuclear weapons from them.

In fact, it seems that we’ve been on a diet of ‘political correctness’ for so long, that we’ve forgotten what truth is. As I wrote about the main stream media in Poetic Justice,

At the same time that they were doing their best to blacken the name of Israel, they were helping create the downfall of the American financial system.

The problem isn’t that they said these things. The problem is that we believed them.

How many other things do we believe that are destroying us right now?

I think that it’s time to take a hard look at what we believe, before it’s too late.
