Seriously.

It’s been slowly dawning on some of us that democratic ideals can only exist where there is an education system to promote them. If you have an educational system that promotes some OTHER ideal, well… you’ll get something other than democracy.

Hence, the current Palestinian mess.

That’s right. For generations, the Palestinians have taught their children anti-democratic values, and we’ve known this. That’s why it shouldn’t surprise us (but does) when democratic elections bring non-democratic results.

Democracy requires a good educational system. Palestinians do not have one. Ergo, Palestinians cannot be allowed to have a democracy. Otherwise, they become a threat to their neighbors. And frankly, that’s a bad thing for the Palestinians.

It is very, very unhealthy to be a threat to Israel.

‘Hamas will defeat Fatah in May elections’

Former PA minister Nabil Amr warns that his party will be defeated again if new elections are held in Palestinian territories.

A senior Fatah official warned Thursday that Hamas would once again defeat his faction if and when new elections are held in the Palestinian territories.

Nabil Amr, a former Palestinian Authority minister, said that Fatah leaders have sent a letter to President Mahmoud Abbas (who also heads Fatah) calling on him to hold a conference to discuss preparations for the elections, slated for May.

Abbas has announced that he would like to hold elections on May 4. However, many Palestinians are skeptical that he would be able to hold the vote, largely due to the ongoing dispute between Hamas and Fatah.

Fatah has come under criticism for failing to draw conclusions from its defeat to Hamas in the 2006 parliamentary election.

Since the Hamas victory, Fatah has failed to come up with a new list of candidates.

Moreover, internal squabbling between Fatah’s young guard and veteran leaders continues to undermine the faction’s credibility in the eyes of many Palestinians.

Last week, Amr and several Fatah leaders held consultations in Jordan to discuss ways of avoiding another electoral defeat to Hamas, as was the case in the last parliamentary vote.

“Yes, we are concerned,” Amr said in an interview with the London-based Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper. “Unless the situation in Fatah changes, what happened in the past could occur once again.”

Yes, I know that there are deep problems with the national debt, and I scream about it as loudly as anyone I know. In fact, I’m sure that some of the forums I haunt are thoroughly sick of me.

Worse than any problem with the national debt is the breakdown in trust between the government and the people. True, there wasn’t a whole lot of trust to begin with, but it has never been this low. In fact people are starting to wonder how much lower it can go before there’s talk of the unthinkable.

Here are 16 Statistics Which Prove That The American People Are Absolutely Seething With Anger, from the Economic Collapse blog:

#1 A new Washington Post poll has found that a whopping 78 percent of Americans are dissatisfied “with the way this country’s political system is working”.

#2 That same poll found that only 26 percent of Americans believe that the federal government can solve the economic problems that we are now facing.

#3 Gallup says that Barack Obama’s job approval rating has hit an all-time low of 39%.

#4 According to a recent CBS News/New York Times poll, Congress has a disapproval rating of 82%.

#5 A new Rasmussen survey has found that 85 percent of Americans believe that members of Congress “are more interested in helping their own careers than in helping other people.”

#6 That same survey found that 46 percent of the American people believe that most members of Congress are corrupt.  That figure was a new all-time high.

#7 According to a different Rasmussen survey, only 17 percent of Americans now believe that the U.S. government has the consent of the governed.

#8 A recent Reuters/Ipsos poll discovered that 73 percent of the American people believe that the nation is “on the wrong track”.

#9 A recent poll taken by Rasmussen found that 68 percent of Americans believe that we are actually in a recession right now.

#10 According to Gallup, the percentage of Americans that lack confidence in U.S. banks is now at an all-time high of 36%.

#11 U.S. consumer confidence is now at its lowest level in 30 years.

#12 According to a recent Washington Post-ABC News poll, 90 percent of Americans believe that the economy is performing poorly.

#13 That same poll found that approximately 80 percent of Americans believe that it is “difficult” to find a job these days.

#14 According to one recent poll, 39 percent of Americans believe that the U.S. economy has now entered a “permanent decline”.

#15 Another recent survey found that 48 percent of Americans believe that it is likely that another great Depression will begin within the next 12 months.

#16 According to a brand new Rasmussen survey, 48% of Americans believe that reductions in government spending are “at least somewhat likely” to result in civil unrest inside the United States.

The poll that shocked me the most is the one up there at #7:

#7 According to a different Rasmussen survey, only 17 percent of Americans now believe that the U.S. government has the consent of the governed.

When do revolutions start? When the consent of the governed goes down to 10%? 5%?

We laud the results of the American Revolution. At what point did the Americans decide to revolt against Great Britain?

At what point does American dissatisfaction begins to feed on itself, escalating out of control?

We cannot be far off from that now.

The time to remember is RIGHT NOW.

As the world spirals into financial chaos and conditions continue to worsen, fingers are already being pointed to determine a scapegoat. The nation dubbed ‘Little Satan’ is one obvious candidate to be on the receiving end of the blame. Little Satan is of course Israel – and the developments in the Middle East and around the world have been disturbing. The naïve promise the media once had in the Arab Spring has clearly given way to the inevitability of radicals grabbing power. The Muslim Brotherhood, long banned in Egypt, was immediately allowed re-entry and enjoys popular support. Turkey has moved aggressively towards Sharia Law and has befriended Iran – a nation who has renewed its long standing call to wipe Israel off the map. That is just the tip of the iceberg.

I know many people hear all of this and think ‘yeah, well that’s way over there – why does it matter to me?’ There are a couple reasons. First – if you thought ‘Little Satan’ implied there is a ‘Great Satan’ you are 100% correct. Who is the Great Satan? The United States. Second – if you fear the Lord (generally a good idea) you know God says that He will bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse it. But there is so much more to this story, which is why I made a documentary called ‘Rumors of War’. It’s a two part series loaded with jaw dropping information that will prepare you to make an educated decision. And yes, you MUST make a decision –will you stand with Israel in their time of need, and be blessed? Or will you respond to evil with silence?

As the Restoring Courage event I’m holding in Jerusalem on 8.24 approaches, I’ve decided to make Rumors of War II free for all to view. Share it with everyone you can think of: friends, co-workers, Facebook Friends, family and anyone else who will listen. If you saw the videos that I posted on Friday, you’ll know some of the reasons why I say that the world is falling apart. If you’re confused about the references to ‘Monday’ and ‘August’ you’re either on vacation or out of medication. (I’ll wait while you go get more. You’re going to need them if you want to read the rest of this post.)

Let me put Friday’s videos together with all the stuff that I’ve been telling you for the last couple of months. It doesn’t paint a pretty picture.

When we started down this road towards complete collapse, we were a bold America – bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. We were the ‘good guys’, and no one could challenge us. Anyone who tried, got beaten. Badly.

And, when we beat them, we picked them up, put them back together and made them our friends. Like I said, we were the ‘good guys’.

That was the America of our grandparents. Bold and Beautiful.

Unfortunately, the grandparents handed things over to our parents. Our parents weren’t made of the same stuff that our grandparents were made. They had never seen anything like the Great Depression. They had electricity, running water and television. They never missed a meal.

This isn’t to say that they didn’t have successes. They went to college and to the moon. They built Skylab and developed cures for disease. They defeated the Soviet Union and brought down the Iron Curtain.

Of course, they didn’t stop there. They brought us flower power and Woodstock. They went off to war in Vietnam, and lost. They brought us Roe v Wade and taught us to murder our unborn children. They made their own values and flung them in the face of our grandparents. Sex, drugs and Rock n Roll was their idea, as well as conspicuous consumption.

That was the America of our parents. Rebellious and Soft.

When our parents handed America over to us, we didn’t even know what it was. We had no values. We had no aspirations. There was nothing to live for, so we lived it for ourselves. We thought that America was a nice idea, as long as it didn’t get in the way. When we bothered to get married, we were unfaithful. We forgot to go to church, and when we did, we didn’t listen.

We were the ‘me generation’. And our America wasn’t anything but a hollow shell.

I cannot imagine that there will be any America for our kids.

Maybe they’ll turn her into a website.

But, it gets worse.

Threats to Our Existence

We aren’t just a hollow generation with a hollow country. We are also under extreme existential threat. Our parents bequeathed us with the worst financial crisis in the history of the United States, and we do not have the will to deal with it. Our grandparents set up a government that lied to our parents, and is lying to us.

We bought houses that we couldn’t afford. We borrowed money to pay for our toys. We let our government buy us off with baubles, trinkets and a good time.

The bill is coming due, and we can’t pay it. Or, won’t.

However, we could probably deal with it, if that was the only threat aimed at us. Unfortunately, it isn’t.

We have consumed the world’s resources at an amazing rate, and we assumed that what the Earth gave, it could keep on giving.

Not so.

Forty years after oil discovery in America reached its peak, the production of oil reached its peak, and then began a rapid decline. If this model applies to the rest of the world, we are in trouble.

The discovery of world oil reserves reached their peak more than forty years ago, and it appears that world oil production has also reached its peak. It’s only downhill from here.

At the same time, the demand for oil around the world is skyrocketing. China, India, South America and Africa need more and more oil, and there isn’t more oil to get. And, what’s left is becoming more and more expensive to get.

We’ve also peaked in Uranium, Copper, Coal and who knows what else.

At the same time that vital resources are no longer easy to get, there’s more and more competition for what’s left.

A destroyed economy and scarce resources? We could probably even recover from that, if we worked hard and cut our consumption to the bone.

Unfortunately, the trump of doom doesn’t stop there.

When Jimmy Carter helped create the Islamic Republic of Iran, no one could have guessed that they would pose an existential threat to the United States. Yes, we knew that they were nuts, but we also knew that they were halfway around the world.

And, when the Soviet Union fell in the ’90s, we thought that we’d made it to easy street. Unfortunately, the GPS coordinates for Easy Street were wrong, and we find ourselves at the gates of Hell.

At the same time that we are faced with economic catastrophe and declining resources, we are now threatened by Islamic terrorism, Iranian nuclear weapons and an increasingly belligerent Russia. As I write this, Arab states are on fire and Islamic fundamentalists are taking power in the midst of chaos.

Add to this a war-weariness from conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, and now Libya.

Sometime, within the next five years, we will be forced to go to war with Iran, and we are not going to be able to handle it. No one has ever conquered Iran, and we aren’t going to be the first.

We are out of money. We are out of resources, and World War III is on our doorstep.

I just cannot see how America is going to survive this. I just can’t.

But, there’s one more threat, that will take us out, if war doesn’t.

America has stood in the way of world government from the very beginning. America was too strong and too powerful. Her economy was incredible and her military unstoppable.

The US didn’t need a world order, and without the US, there could be no world order.

But, after the economy crushes us, and our access to resources dry up… and if we manage to survive World War III… we will be unable to hold off the globalists. Indeed, the US will beg for the globalists to come in and save the day.

And, what freedoms we had left would disappear forever.

The next five-to-fifteen years will change the world forever, and you aren’t going to like it.

Assuming, of course, that you survive it.
