I think that there’s a pattern here.
Monday mornings are for bad news, and nothing is more bad than Iran.
It seems that the Mullahs in Iran have decided to divert at least half of their Uranium production to a higher level of purity, which is the next step in the process of making Atomic bombs. Worse, we got some of this information from the paragon of political correctness, The Guardian. And, whenever The Guardian ‘gets it’, you know that you are in real trouble.
But, it gets worse.
They’re not only making higher grade Uranium, they’re also upgrading their centrifuges – to faster ones, lots faster.
Remember when I talked about Iran getting The Bomb in 2012?
Well, it really looks like they’re going to be able to do it. The Iranians even believe that the US is powerless to do anything about it. Even WORSE, they believe that the US will stop anyone else from doing anything. Here’s a quote from Reza Khalili
The Obama administration has criticized the Iranian regime and its policies while the United States and other countries have put tough sanctions on Iran. The question remains, however, how the Iranian rulers perceive the situation. In their speeches and writings, they argue that America is weak and crumbling. This is, in part, propaganda, but to a considerable degree it is also clear that they believe this to be true. An example of this is an article that has just appeared on Gerdab, a website run by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, which concludes that America is so tired from being involved in so many wars that even if Iran makes an atomic bomb it will not attack Iran, nor will it allow Israel to take such action.
The Guards in their analysis quote British Middle East analyst Patrick Seale, who in recent comments pointed to the depletion of American stamina. Seale maintained that the U.S. has begun a quiet and deliberate withdrawal from the Middle East and that it is incapable of confronting Iran even if it is verified that the Iranians are on the verge of developing nuclear weapons.
Iran believes that we have depleted ourselves? That we are turning our back on the Middle East? That we will stop Israel from taking down Iran?
Unfortunately, I think that they’re correct. It should be obvious to everyone that America is backpeddling furiously on the Middle East and getting ready to throw Israel under the bus.
The Iranians know it and are taking steps to capitalize on it.
On top of this, we have more reports of Iranian penetration into North America. Geostrategy-Direct.com reports:
In a July 7 hearing of the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence, witnesses testified that the Hizbullah network was being financed by Iran as well as drug trafficking. They said the Hizbullah threat to the United States was not imminent, but operatives were already infiltrating the southern border with Mexico as well as Canada. In July 2010, the first improvised explosive device exploded in the U.S.-Mexico border town of Ciudad Juarez.
And, then there’s Obama’s approach to helping freedom-minded Iranians overthrow their dictatorial regime:
The Obama administration, however, has not fulfilled the plan of Bush-era Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice to spend $75 million to promote pro-democracy groups inside Iran. Instead, Iranian democracy groups received nothing and the State Department spent the money on U.S.-based think tanks and to fund a vast expansion of the Voice of America’s Persian News Network (VOAPNN).
It’s enough to make you weep. We’ve spent millions to topple regimes in the Middle East who were NOT a direct threat to us, and have done next-to-nothing to topple a regime that is actively trying to destroy the US.
Have we lost our minds?
So, let me sum things up on this lovely Monday morning:
- We have an Iran who will have ‘The Bomb’ in 2012
- We are too weak to do anything, and too scared to allow anyone else
- Iran has infiltrated the US and Canada, and continues to do so
- The US government has sabotaged the only program that seems to be able to take down the Iranian regime
You know, the only thing that could make this worse would be the addition of a global financial collapse, meltdown of the social fabric and a major drought in the US.
Oh, wait a second…
