Raymond Ibrahim

There are times when I run across truly incredible people who emerge from the muslim world and tell us what is really going on.

One of those guys is Raymond Ibrahim.

Born in the United States, Raymond comes with a deep understanding of Western culture and values, but he’s also a native Arabic speaker. His parents came from Egypt, and he’s spent a large chunk of his life in Egypt among family and friends. He knows Islam, and he is dedicated to helping us understand Islam – true Islam. He is now the editor of Front Page Magazine’s new section, Muslim Persecution of Christians. He’s associate director of the Middle East Forum and his website, www.raymondibrahim.com, talks in-depth about the persecution of Christians in the Muslim world and gives a view of Islam that you might not see anywhere else.

I ran across Raymond Ibrahim because he was invited by Everett Community College (EvCC) in Seattle, Washington as a part of their year-long Islam in America series. His talk was titled, “Overcoming Hurdles to Understanding Islam”. He spoke on May 5th, but the outcry began long, long before that.

You would have thought that EvCC had asked the grand dragon of the KKK to speak. The Washington chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) squawked so loudly, that the speech drew national media attention and a packed audience.

Now, watch the following video about the book he wrote and ask yourself if this guy is hateful of Muslims:

The answer, of course, is no, he’s not hateful of Muslims.
