I’m trying to work my way through this, so bear with me for a moment.
Gaza has an international border with Egypt, right?
There are no Israeli troops between Gaza and Egypt, right?
Everyone is upset with Israel for closing its borders with Gaza, but they aren’t upset with Egypt for doing exactly the same thing, right?
Do you see a problem here?
And yes, I CAN tell you that the border between Egypt and Gaza is effectively closed. The Egyptian government may be corrupt, but it isn’t stupid. They don’t want Palestinian terrorists running around in their country, either.

Why is it that everyone refers to the blockade of Gaza as the ISRAELI blockade?
What about the Egyptian side of the border?
There are NO Israeli troops between Gaza and Egypt.
None.
So, let me ask you this:
Why are the Egyptians blockading Gaza?

I just spent a couple days with George and his daughter Sara*. Sara needs an operation, and George brought her to my apartment so that he could spend time being a Dad. The Palestinian village where George lives is still too ‘hot’, so he needs a safe place to hang out until things cool down. But, as much as George needs a safe place, his little daughter needs a father. But, I’m getting ahead of myself.

Actually, I am ‘pro’ anyone who exhibits the values that ascribe to:
Peace.
Love.
Humility.
Forgiveness.
Those values are in short supply everywhere on the globe, but they are especially scarce around here – the Middle East. Fly into this region, and you enter the ‘me first’ zone. Peace, love, humilty and forgiveness are in short supply.
I see it all the time among Israelis. The litany of heroic efforts by Israelis on behalf of Palestinians is long. The reverse, unfortunately, is very rare.

I’m going to shock you in a moment, so I need you to be sitting down:
Ready?
I am pro Arab.
That’s a shocker, right?
Of course, those of you who have been reading my ‘stuff’ over the years know what I mean by that. I actually believe that there is no contradiction between support for Israel and support for the Arab people. No contradiction whatsoever.
Now, why am I saying this?
Well, I woke up this morning and realized that some of the people that I admire most in the world are Arabs. Unfortunately, a lot of those Arabs can’t be mentioned here because they live in fear of their lives.
