The train wreck that has me upset is really nothing new. It’s just the latest round of the same-old, same-old.
Gaza.
And, the two trains crashing into each other are the Palestinians of Gaza… and Hamas.
I bet that you are wondering why I’m not mentioning Israel. Well, Israel’s certainly there. They’re the ones jumping up and down, waving their arms, and trying to get the trains to stop.
In fact, there’s even a THIRD train called ‘World Opinion’. That one’s coming down the track behind the other two.

I love psychology.
It’s like watching an immense train wreck.
No, no, I do NOT love train wrecks. They are horrifying, so maybe I should explain.
A lot of the time, there is only one train track that serves two directions of travel. This means that the track operators need to be organized enough to make sure that two trains do not wind up traveling towards each other on the same track. But, in places like India, they aren’t so terribly organized, and I’ve seen quite a few pictures of trains that have collided head-on.

I flew out to Manhattan over the weekend, and it symbolized a lot that was difficult about America’s war on terrorism.
For instance, when I arrived at the US Airways ticket desk, I found that my name was on the ‘no board’ list and was told that I need to come extra-early to the airport to go through extra check-in. What a complete shock. Someone with my name was on the No Board List?
Oy.
Now, I happen to know that there are a lot of John Littles out there, and most of them are pretty good guys – but, I also know that there are a couple John Littles that should never be allowed to board ANY public transport.

There’s something in all of us that needs God.
Even Richard Dawkins says so, but in a completely different way.
The point is that we have a built-in need to believe in a power greater than ourselves. And, if you take that higher power out of someone’s life, they will go searching for another one.
That’s what’s happening with Islam. Europe has ‘successfully’ liberated themselves from the chains of the Roman Catholic Church. And, I can understand their general feeling of satisfaction at this accomplishment.

The thing about being a wild-eyed fanatic is that you cannot shut up for long. It’s a problem. I just cannot shut up about Israel, Global Security, Foreign Policy, and anything else even remotely related to such things. Oh, I have other interests too, and I can’t seem to shut up about those either, but that’s for a different website.
However, you can get me to shut up when you turn off the flow of information. Keep me ’in the dark’, and I get kinda pale – moldy, even. Put me in an information vacuum, and I wilt.Â
