I’ve been thinking about Ahmadinejad’s confident claims that he can take out the US and Israel – and achieve dominance for Islam.
How could he possibly do that without the help of thermonuclear bombs in the multi-megaton range? We also call them hydrogen bombs, or H-bombs, and they are beyond his capability to make. And, I can’t believe that Russia would let him have any.
However, I was given the idea of a decapitation strike by WorldNet Daily. They talked about using Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP). This EMP strike would only require a few medium-yield nuclear warheads and only a few medium range missiles – and every unshielded electronic element/device/thingy in the Western world would be toast.

I remember where I was on 9/11, just as people know where they were when JFK was shot or when Pearl Harbor was attacked. In fact, now that I see what I’ve written, I see the generational element. My grandparents lived in the generation of Pearl Harbor. My parents lived in the time of JFK. My generation lived through 9/11.
There will always be overlap, but it is a truism that each generation has its own moment of awfulness. You can read all about our latest moment in an article that I wrote last year: The Day the World Changed.

When I opened my email this morning, I saw a message from AJ, marked important. Knowing the responsibilities of this particular relative, I opened it with a bit of trepidation.
It was with great relief that I realized that the message was not about certain nutcases being on the rampage – a rampage that would have been nothing that Thorazine and a padded room couldn’t have handled.
Family, can’t live with ‘em.
Can’t…
Where was I? Oh. The email.

In the comment section of yesterday’s post, Tedders left three links that either shed more light on the subject of the Al Durah hoax, or offer you a way to correct history.
Nothing that we do will bring back to life those who were killed as a result of the Al Durah Hoax. The homes that were wrecked and lives that were lost will not become unwrecked and unlost. The families that emigrated to other countries to flee the destruction won’t return.
We may not even be able to bring the perpetrators of this hoax to justice. They may never suffer one day of lost sleep. They may never lose a paycheck or suffer demotion.

Why did the Al Durah Hoax happen? Why would the France 2 television network perpetuate such a hoax? Why are they STILL unwilling to release all 27-30 minutes of video? Why hasn’t there been more outcry over this blood libel that fueled so much death and destruction?
Those are all great questions, and you will never get any straight answers.
However, there is one word that answers every one of those questions in some way. It’s a five letter word that we are all familiar with:
Greed.
