There is, in the Tanach (Old Testament) in Yehezkel (Ezekiel) a reference to a great army that comes down and tries to destroy Israel. And, Yehezkel makes a list of everyone in that army: Gog, Persia, Ethiopia, Libya, Gomer, and Togarmah.
(Don’t worry, I’m not going to get all religious on you, or at least not more than I normally do.)
No one really quite knows who Gog is, or Gomer and Togarmah, but EVERYONE knows who Persia is.

The tragedy of the Middle East rolls on, and it has its source in what Arab leaders have done to their own people. They’ve lied to them. They’ve stolen from them. They’ve consigned them to lives of drudgery and grinding poverty. They’ve abused them.
Worse, they’ve destroyed their own children.
On June 29, 2007, Palestinian TV broadcast on a popular children’s show, the murder of a favorite children’s character: Farfour, a Mickey Mouse-like character. The adorable little girl, who is the show’s presenter, ends the show with this statement:

At first I thought that this was a prank. Then, I did some checking, and apparently both Sky News and sources in the UK Foreign Office both confirm that the story is legit.Â
(sigh)
It’s normal to have enemies that hate you. But, as long as they are rational, you can have a kind of peace. You can even work with psychopaths, as long as they have some kind of grasp of reality. But, when they are genuinely nuts…
All bets are off.

Would you believe that social skills don’t come naturally to me?
No, really. I had to learn them the hard way. And, the ’hard way’ is a tough teacher for Little boys. Learning how to be ‘creative’ with the truth (i.e., ’being polite’) was a skill that took a long time to acquire. I also believed that fighting was wrong, which meant that I attracted bullies like a magnet.
The good thing is that I did learn how to be polite and did learn how to avoid fights. And, once I learned the art of avoiding fights, I never had another one.

Hi Everyone!
A reader has mentioned that she is often unable to access this site. This is not good, and I am unhappy that this is happening.
I would appreciate it if y’all would let me know when this happens. I need to be able to go to the web host for this site (www.hostingzoom.com) and let them know how serious the problem is.
Hopefully, they’ll be able to fix it, or at least they will refund what’s left of my contract when I change web hosts.
Thanks for your help, and thanks to Carol for being a real trooper and letting me know that there’s a problem.
