I Should Be Frightened

I should be frightened.

With everything that is going on… with all the existential threats… Coupled with my return to Israel over the next few months…

You’d think that I would be petrified. Shaking in my boots. You’d think that any thought of returning to Israel would be the last thing that I’d want to do.

But, I am returning to Israel – and paying a fairly hefty price for that return, I might add.

Why?

Because I believe in miracles. Oh, I believe in lots of other things too, and I can certainly point to many other reasons why I am returning to Israel. But, the main one is miracles. I believe in them.

It’s a miracle that Israel has survived this long. Israel has survived in ways that defies logic and explanation. Threats to her existence have been defeated in such an extraordinary way, that… well, it’s a miracle. There is just no other way to describe it.

And, I want to be in a place where miracles happen.

Of course, I haven’t told you about why I should be frightened.

I know that you are ready for me to tell you that Iran is at the top of my list of the frightful. But, are you ready for me to tell you about Russia and even China? How about the neutralization of Europe? Ready for that one too?

I didn’t think so.

On the back of high oil prices, Russia is awash with enough cash to start thinking about empire, and there is a great deal of evidence that it is doing so. They are shaking hands and selling arms. They are building nuclear reactors to Iran, as well as providing diplomatic cover for terrorist regimes.

China has also been involved, but much less so. They’ve had their fingers in Darfur. Chinese arms have been appearing in Iran – and other places. Worse is the inevitable confrontation that looms between the US and China over world dominance. China sees itself as an emerging super power and has been more than willing to act against US interests.

And, the fact that Europe has become less and less willing to act against extremists means that Israel has fewer and fewer natural allies.

And, let’s not forget that the mullahs in Iran are increasingly desperate to bring in the Mahdi – who seems to be unable to come if Israel continues to exist.

So like I said, I should be frightened.

  1. You and I both know what frightens YOU the most. LoL Along with thousands of others on that other website.

Stay in J-town and you’ll be just fine besides when God is for you who can be against you?

  2. Hey, will you post a link to Jenns blog over there?
It makes it a lot easier for me…
    Israel outlook….Shalom…..Jenn…

  3. You are very perceptive John. Russia and China (armies from the North) are preparing to invade Israel, whether they know it or not. It will happen during the seven year Tribulation period (according to prophecy) when Gog-Magog, spoken of in Ezek.38 & 39, invades Israel. As a Born-Again Believer, at that time, you will be residing in heaven when this war takes place on the Plains of Megiddo, but will, most likely, return with the Kings of Kings & Lord of Lords to slay the enemies of Israel in the Valley of Jehoshaphat

Russia and China are growing in leaps and bounds and requiring more petro. There is going to be a shortage of oil, which is the “hook” in the jaw that draws them down to Israel (Ezek.38:4). Why Israel? Because oil will be discovered there in the near future. What contributes to the shortage is not known….could be that Iran or Hamas or some other terrorist group may destroy some of the oil fields. Iran may block the shipments through the Straits of Hormuz. Don’t know any of those details.

These things take place after the Peace Treaty is signed, which begins the 7-year Tribulation period. Who knows how many battles Israel will have to fight between now and then? I’m thinking Israel is going to have to confront Iran and this may be what brings about the signing of the Peace Treaty. One thing for certain, there isn’t a lot of time left. The World has gone mad, and all the Nations are against Israel, just as is prophesied in scripture.
When all these things begin to happen, the only safe place to be will be in Petra.
