Jenn at jennw2ns.blogspot.com/Â made a good point yesterday, and it bugs me. She asked ‘what about the Palestinian Christians who are persecuted by both sides?’
Ouch.
Palestinian Christians, as a group, have it the worst. They are NOT enemies of Israel, yet they are lumped in with the Palestinian Muslims who ARE. And then, they are persecuted by their fellow Palestinians.
For years, I lived just across the valley from the Palestinian Christian town of Beit Jalla. Did you know that there is an entire community in Chile, just from the tiny town of Beit Jalla? Did you know that this community started when Arafat and the Palestinian Authority was started? Did you know that one of the first things that the Palestinian Authority started doing was persecuting Palestinian Christians?

It is wrong to stand by and do nothing.
In fact, it’s evil.
One of my favorite quotes is this one:Â
“All that is required for evil to prevail is for good men to do nothing.â€
– Edmund Burke
And this one:
“The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.â€
— Albert Einstein
America and the rest of the world refused to give REAL help to Israel when she was threatened with destruction. Because of that, we got (among other things) Palestinian terrorism.

I did not want to write this entry.
I really didn’t. It must be one of the most depressing entries that I have ever made – and (hopefully) may ever make. But, the subtitle of my blog says: ’An Unflinching View from a Place Called Israel’.
How can I be ’unflinching’, if I flinch from this one?
So, no flinching. This entry goes out.
—————————————————
Benny Morris at IsraelInsider.com has written an article predicting the destruction of Israel and the death of virtually ALL of Israel’s Jewish inhabitants.
No. Let’s drop the virtual. It really will be ALL. ALL of them.

Does it surprise you that Russia is arming Iran?
Not me.
Here’s a recent quote from The Jerusalem Post:Â
Russia’s defense minister said Tuesday that Russia has sold Tor-M1 air defense missile systems to Iran. It was the first high-level confirmation that such a sale took place.
And then, Russia’s Minister of Defense said this:
“If the Iranian leadership has a desire to purchase more defense weapons, we would do that,” Ivanov said, without elaborating.
And, let’s not forget that Russia is building Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant – which they are close to completing.
