Media Direction by… Hezbollah

If you’ve been as upset as I have been about the media coverage of Israel and the conflict in Lebanon, you will be pleased to see the media being caught in the act.

Here’s a great article by Tom Gross in the National Review:

Media Missles

Now you know WHY they make you want to scream.

All of this ‘journalistic integrity’ that the media talks about is a lie.

I happen to know from other sources, that Beirut does NOT look like a bombed out city. Yet, the media would have you believe that Israel has targeted the entire city – and not just those buildings housing the Hezbollah command and control centers in the south.

Here’s a excerpt from Tom’s article:

CNN senior international correspondent Nic Robertson admitted that his anti-Israel report from Beirut on July 18 about civilian casualties in Lebanon was stage-managed from start to finish by Hezbollah. He revealed that his story was heavily influenced by Hezbollah’s “press officer” and that Hezbollah have “very, very sophisticated and slick media operations.”

When pressed a few days later about his reporting on the CNN program Reliable Sources, Robertson acknowledged that Hezbollah militants had instructed the CNN camera team where and what to film. Hezbollah “had control of the situation,” Robertson said. “They designated the places that we went to, and we certainly didn’t have time to go into the houses or lift up the rubble to see what was underneath.”

The CNN at least has the integrity to point out this fact, but I have YET to hear the BBC mention this ONCE.

And the glee with which BBC criticizes Israel is horrifying.

Thanks Elianna, for the Tom Gross article.
